436 foreign students from 43 countries to start studies at Riga Stradins University this year

RIGA - This year, 436 young people from 43 countries will start studies at Riga Stradins University (RSU), which is 72 foreign students fewer than last year, the university informed LETA.

The majority of students come from Europe - Germany (25 percent), Sweden (24 percent), Norway (14 percent) and Finland (13 percent). Eight students from Ukraine will also start their studies at Riga Stradins University this fall.

Most of the new foreign students at Riga Stradins University will study medicine and dentistry, as well as healthcare management, international governance and diplomacy, and international business.

The first Riga Stradins University branch outside Latvia will open this fall in Stade, Germany. More than 20 students will start their studies there in the 2024-25 academic year.
