VILNIUS - The heads of the parliaments of the Baltic states and Ukraine are coming to Lithuania to attend the 100thLithuanian Song Festival on Saturday.
They will include Speaker of the Latvian Saeima Daiga Mierina, Deputy Speaker of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratiuk, Marshal of the Polish Senate Malgorzata Kidawa-Blonska, and Deputy Speaker of the Estonian Parliament Toomas Kivimagi.
Delegations of Baltic Assembly representatives from Estonia, Latvia, the US Congress and members of the Latvian Saeima's group for promoting cooperation with the Lithuanian Seimas will also visit Lithuania.
According to Ilona Petrove, spokeswoman for Seimas Speaker Viktorija Cmilyte-Nielsen, on Saturday morning, the Seimas speaker is scheduled to meet with representatives of Poland and Ukraine in the Lublin Triangle format. Later on, she will hold bilateral meetings with the marshal of the Polish Sejm and the deputy speaker of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada.
On Saturday, Vilnius will host the closing events of the 100th Lithuanian Song Festival.
