Estonia, Ireland discuss European security

TALLINN - Secretary General of the Estonian Foreign Ministry Jonatan Vseviov met on Friday with Jennifer Carroll MacNeill, Irish minister of state for European and defense affairs, who is on a visit to Estonia, to discuss European security, the war in Ukraine, and topical issues related to the European Union.

Vseviov emphasized the need to continue raising the cost of war for Russia and to provide strong support for Ukraine to demonstrate that time is not on the aggressor's side. He added that it is crucial to work towards ensuring Russia's accountability for all crimes committed in Ukraine.

Vseviov and MacNeill also discussed bilateral cooperation to strengthen European security and support Ukraine, developments in EU enlargement, rule of law issues, and the secretary general provided an overview of regional security.
