Estonian MEP Urmas Paet reelected vice chair of European Parlt's foreign affairs committee

TALLINN – Members of the foreign affairs committee of the European Parliament have reelected Estonian MEP Urmas Paet as vice chairman of the committee, the new composition of the parliament started work last week.

"The foreign policy priority of the European Parliament is to support Ukraine until the complete liberation of this country from Russian aggression," Paet said.

"For this, it is necessary for the EU and its member states to follow a single foreign policy line. Therefore, it is significant that the opening resolution of the new European Parliament was a statement of support for Ukraine," he added.

Urmas Paet also served as the vice chairman of the foreign affairs committee in the previous European Parliament composition.
