First Lady Andra Levite has agreed to become a patroness of the Paralympic movement in Latvia, the Latvian Paralympic Committee informed.
The committee's president Daiga Dadzite emphasized that Levite's decision turned the spotlight on people with disabilities in Latvia and the importance of parasports. Many people still believe that there are few people with disabilities in Latvia, that they do not need anything, and that problems of the people with disabilities may be put on the back burner.
