"Dr. Feder’s German-Latvian Cardiology Private Practice,” which celebrates its fifth anniversary on September 9, will soon significantly expand its range of services by collaborating with top specialists from Latvia and Germany, while also promoting medical tourism. The new clinic, which will be located in the Elemental business center, is set to receive a 2 million euro investment.

“We provide modern, highly qualified diagnostics and treatment. I must admit that in Germany, where I studied, ordinary private cardiology practices do not offer such a high level, which is why the idea of exporting medical services came about,” says Dr. Feder, the founder of “Dr. Feder’s German-Latvian Cardiology Private Practice.”

Dr. Feder reveals that the goal is to create an even more versatile outpatient center that will offer a wide range of medical services under one roof.

“We have both the latest equipment and highly qualified specialists. We are one of the few private practices in Latvia that not only prevents our medical professionals from leaving the country but also attracts German doctors. Currently, one of my German colleagues is actively learning Latvian and may even move here,” Dr. Feder explains.

Given the current challenges with access to medical services across Europe and other parts of the world, “Dr. Feder’s German-Latvian Cardiology Private Practice” is focused on exporting medical services, also known as medical tourism. “I can confidently say that we are among the best medical centers of this kind in the Baltics. Therefore, the goal is to become a recognizable symbol of Latvia,” Dr. Feder outlines the future direction.

While studying at Riga Stradiņš University, Dr. Feder took advantage of an exchange study opportunity in Berlin. After completing his studies in Riga, he also won a competition and spent his residency years at the Charité Clinic in Berlin. Charité is one of the top ten hospitals in the world, bringing together the best specialists in the field and making significant contributions not only to clinical medicine but also to science and research.

“After completing my residency, I appreciated the great opportunities available in Germany, but I realized that I wanted to apply the knowledge and skills I had acquired in Latvia,” Dr. Feder explains his decision to return to his homeland. Opening a private practice was a logical choice. “I wanted to create a practice that aligns with my vision of a modern medical facility,” Dr. Feder recalls.

In its first five years, “Dr. Feder’s German-Latvian Cardiology Private Practice” has earned the recognition of colleagues and the trust of patients. Consultations are available in Latvian, Russian, English, and German. “However, I would like to emphasize the importance of utilizing artificial intelligence, so that consultations can be provided in any language,” Dr. Feder says.

Since its establishment in 2019, the practice has served nearly 10,000 patients, provided more than 20,000 consultations, and conducted various examinations. In 2022, the practice’s turnover exceeded 358,000 euros, and in 2023, it increased to 464,000 euros.
