VILNIUS - The case of a man who threw Molotov cocktails at the Russian Embassy in Vilnius has reached court, the prosecution service said on Wednesday.
The Vilnius Regional Prosecutor's Office has handed the criminal case over to Vilnius City District Court. The ban, born in 1974, is charged with property damage in a generally dangerous manner and public order violation.
Early morning on April 7 and 8, the man threw Molotov cocktails at the Russian Embassy building from an adjacent building. As a result, one of the embassy's walls and the roof over the entrance were burnt.
The damage caused is valued at over 6,000 euros, the prosecution service said.
The man is facing a fine or restriction of liberty, arrest or a prison term of up to five years.
