VILNIUS - Flights to and from Lithuania are not affected by the closure of London Heathrow, the busiest airport in Europe, early on Friday morning, said Tadas Vasiliauskas, a spokesman for Lietuvos oro Uostai (Lithuanian Airports, LTOU), the airport operator in Lithuania.
"We do not see any impact on flights at Lithuanian airports," he told BNS, adding that there are no flights to London Heathrow Airport from Lithuanian airports.
"So far, we have no information about flight delays or any other impact on flights between Lithuanian and UK airports," Vasiliauskas added.
The UK's largest airport is closed due to a major fire at a nearby electrical substation that supplies it with power.
