Gediminas Ziemelis, Chairman of the Board at Avia Solutions Group, recently met with Mike Pompeo in New York. The former U.S. Secretary of State now serves as the Executive Chairman of Impact Investments.

"We discussed the latest developments in the aviation industry and European basketball," Ziemelis shared on Facebook after his dinner with Pompeo at the Nusr-Et restaurant in New York.

"P.S. Mike has lost another 10 kg," Ziemelis added. In March of this year, Impact Investments became the strategic development consultant for Avia Solutions Group. Their strategic and financial advice will focus on the global expansion of the aviation group.

"Impact Investments is a global strategic and financial advisory and investment firm with offices and partners in New York, Washington D.C., London, and Dubai. The company advises and supports the accelerated growth of the world’s leading companies across a wide range of business sectors," said Pompeo.

"Avia Solutions Group has an innovative and distinctive business model in the aviation sector and is expanding rapidly worldwide. We see great potential in the company and are pleased to contribute to its continued growth," said Pompeo. "I believe this partnership will provide us with invaluable experience in opening new markets and establishing key partnerships that will significantly contribute to our ambitious global growth plans," added Jonas Janukenas, CEO of Avia Solutions Group.

This partnership extends Avia Solutions Group’s connections with U.S. companies. In 2021, Certares Management, a U.S. investment management firm specializing in travel and tourism, together with Knighthead Capital Management, an investment advisory firm, invested €300 million in the group.
