Google officially starts offering its Pixel 9 series in Latvia

  • 2024-08-15

The latest generation of Google Pixel smartphones and wearables are officially available in Latvia from today. Google is officially bringing its latest range of Pixel 9 smartphones, Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Buds Pro 2 earbuds to the Latvian market thanks to its exclusive partnership with LMT and Euronics. Straight from Google's engineering workshop, Pixel is the only phone that combines cutting-edge hardware, Google's Gemini models, Android OS and Google AI. Pixel Buds Pro 2 earbuds are now able to process audio 90 times faster than the speed of sound and offer twice as much noise cancellation. Pixel Watch 3 is now available in two different sizes.

The new Pixel 9 phones bring you the best of Google AI and 7 years of updates

Google is introducing its new phones: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. They are all powered by Google's brand new Tensor G4 chip to bring users the very best of Pixel. Plus, the phones are twice as durable as the Pixel 8. For the first time, the Pro model comes in two different sizes: Pixel 9 Pro (6.3”) and Pixel 9 Pro XL (6.8”). Other than display size and power, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL share all the same specs and features. Both have Google's best and brightest Super Actua displays yet, and a new 42 MP front camera so users get sharper and brighter photos in low light. They feature updated finishes, with a silky matte glass back and polished metal sides for a distinctly premium feel.

Pixel 9 is packed with upgrades. With its 6.3-inch Actua display, Pixel 9 is 35% brighter than Pixel 8 and has been rated the best display in its class. As for the camera, users are getting the same main and ultrawide cameras as Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. That’s a huge upgrade for the ultrawide lens, from 12MP on Pixel 8 to 48MP on Pixel 9. All the Pixel 9 phones get even better over time — each phone comes with seven years of OS, Pixel Drops and security updates.

Pixel 9 Pro with Gemini Advanced for the 1st year free of charge
Google's Pixel 9 phones are powered by the company's new custom silicon: Tensor G4. It’s Google's most efficient chip yet and was designed to improve everyday use cases, like opening apps or browsing the web. The Pixel 9 Pro also comes with the Google One AI Premium plan, giving users access to Gemini Advanced at no cost for the first year.  With this plan, users get access to even more powerful AI features and they can try Gemini directly in their favourite Google products like Gmail and Docs.

Getting a photo with everyone & perfect panoramas in low light
Google has also added more AI features to help users get the perfect photo. With the Add Me function users will be able to get a photo with everyone who was there, including the photographer, without having to pack a tripod or ask a stranger for help. Google has also rebuilt the Panorama feature to give detailed shots — even in low light. It’s the highest-quality low-light panorama on any smartphone. Magic Editor can now automatically reframe your photo, expand your image to get more of the scene and with the popular Best Take feature, you can get an amazing photo of the whole group by combining similar photos. It finds the best moment or allows the user to choose everyone’s best expression. More about Pixel 9 Series.

Meet Pixel Buds Pro 2, the first Buds built for Gemini

Pixel Buds Pro 2, the newest earbuds from Google Pixel are for the first time equipped with a Tensor A1 chip to power industry-leading audio performance and helpful Google AI. After analyzing 45 million ear scans, Google built Pixel Buds Pro 2 with new twist-to-adjust stabilizer, so they stay put while you're working out, but still offer maximum personalized comfort.

Even better noise cancellation with Tensor A1

Thanks to Tensor A1, Active Noise Cancellation with Silent Seal™ 2.0 cancels up to twice as much noise as before. Pixel Buds Pro 2’s multi-path processing provides a dedicated “highway lane” for your music, completely independent of the continuous processing that’s happening for Active Noise Cancellation. This is pretty rare, even in premium earbuds, and the result is accurate and immersive sound and even better noise cancellation.

Ring your Buds to find them, engage in conversations without removing Buds

Users can always find their buds with the new Find My Device Network, no matter where they put them down. Moreover, Google added a ringing speaker to the Pixel Buds case, so it's easier to find them even if they seem lost. Users now don't have to remove their Buds when they chat to others. Conversation Detection function automatically disables noise cancellation when users speak out loud, allowing them to seamlessly switch between their favorite songs and chats with those around them. Pixel Buds Pro 2 can be pre-ordered today starting at 249 EUR at Google's exclusive retail partners LMT and Euronics.

Google Pixel Watch 3: Bigger, Brighter, Better Health & Fitness

Pixel Watch 3 is the biggest leap forward for Google's flagship smartwatch, offering a stunning design combined with even better performance. Now in two sizes, including an all-new 45mm, it offers comprehensive tools for fitness and recovery. Plus, a breakthrough innovation with Loss of Pulse Detection, that can potentially save lives. Both the original 41mm, and the all-new larger 45mm size sport Google's most advanced Actua displays, that are twice as bright as before, perfect for seeing run stats on a sunny day, but at the same time, adjustable to dark environments (like a movie theatre, for example) for a more discreet glance.

Insights to plan your activity and recovery: Daily Readiness, Cardio Load and Target Load

To make working out and listening to your body easier, Pixel Watch 3 introduces three new tools: Daily Readiness, Cardio Load, and Target Load. With Daily Readiness, an improved algorithm tracks and analyzes the body's key recovery biometrics and gives users a picture of how ready their body is to take on training each day. Cardio Load helps track heart’s exertion and intensity and Target Load is a personalized target suggestion for training which takes into account users' recent data.

Pixel Watch 3 comes with six months of Fitbit Premium included for new users of this plan, so that they can make the most of their training with personalized guidance and insights.

Loss of Pulse Detection: A first-of-its-kind feature on Pixel Watch 3

Pixel Watch 3 introduces a first-of-its-kind Loss of Pulse Detection feature to detect loss-of-pulse events. It’s a health emergency, where every minute matters. Unfortunately, many loss of pulse incidents happen when a person is alone, leaving them with effectively no chance of receiving emergency assistance. Loss of Pulse Detection can automatically place a call to emergency services and share an automated message with critical context, along with location. It will be available on Pixel Watch 3 in September in various countries in Europe, and Google will continue to work with regulatory bodies to make the feature available in more countries.
