Largest solar park in Baltics to open in Pärnu County, Estonia

TALLINN - The largest solar park in the Baltic countries will be opened in Kirikuküla village in the Lääneranna rural municipality in Pärnu County on Oct. 3. 

The production capacity of the Kirikmäe solar park, a joint undertaking of the Estonian company Evecon and the investment fund Mirova, is 77.5 megawatts.

The solar park consists of 117,600 solar panels laid out on nearly 110 hectares, which can cover the annual energy needs of 35,000 households. 

The opening event will be attended by Estonia's Climate Minister Yoko Alender, among others.
