Latvia avoids relegation at European U16 Men's Basketball Championships

UDINE (Italy) - The Latvian U16 men's basketball team defeated Germany 79:67 in the match for 13th place at this year's European U16 Men's Basketball Championships on Saturday, thus avoiding relegation to Division B.

Valters Briedis led the way for Latvia with 17 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and four steals, followed by Fredis Bagatskis with 15 points.
