RIGA - A Latvian woman has been killed in Gudbrandsdalen, eastern Norway, last Saturday night, Norwegian news outlet vg.no reports.

The around 30 years old woman was stabbed to death with a knife in her workplace at the Fefor Hoifjellshotell.

Around 30 years old Serbian man who was the victim's colleague, has been detained on suspicions of killing the Latvian national. The man reportedly called the police himself and informed about the murder. On Monday he was remanded in custody for four weeks.

The murder of the Latvian national was committed in the woman's room. The suspect's lawyer said that the killing was not premeditated and was provoked by alcohol and an argument between the Serbian and the Latvian.
