VILNIUS - Lithuania’s mobile payments infrastructure company WoraPay is among the nine startups selected to take part in the FinTech London 2015 program of StartupBootCamp, an accelerator focused on financial innovation, the business daily Verslo Zinios reported on Monday.
The program is supported by such financial sector giants as MasterCard, Lloyds, Rabobank and others.
WoraPay has already made use of one of the advantages offered by the accelerator. The Lithuanians have signed a cooperation agreement with MasterCard to offer the payment card giant’s digital payments system MasterPass alongside its services.
Each FinTech London team is offered 15,000 euros in cash and 450,000 euros in partner services. In return, StartupBootCamp asks for up to 10 percent equity.
