Lithuanian foreign minister to attend Balts' Award ceremony in Riga

VILNIUS - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis is heading to Riga on Thursday to take part in the 2024 Balts' Award ceremony.

As part of his working visit to the Latvian capital, Landsbergis is also scheduled to hold bilateral talks with his Latvian counterpart Baiba Braze and attend the inauguration of the renovated Lithuanian embassy building, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry has said.

Lithuania's top diplomat will also take part in The Riga Conference 2024, a prominent North European regional security and foreign policy forum.

In an official ceremony following their meeting, Landsbergis and Braze will present the annual Balts' Award.

Established in 2018, the award is presented to Lithuanian and Latvian citizens in recognition of their achievements in research, fostering and strengthening of the Balts' heritage.
