Lithuanian foreign minister to meet Zelensky, other officials in Ukraine

VILNIUS - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys is visiting in Ukraine on Tuesday to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky and other top officials, the Foreign Ministry said.

Budrys is also scheduled to meet with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha‎, and Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine and Justice Minister Olha Stefanishyna.

The meetings will focus on the situation at the frontline, efforts to negotiate a ceasefire, security guarantees for Ukraine, and priorities for military, diplomatic, financial, and humanitarian assistance, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release.

Other key topics will include measures to deter Russia and progress in Ukraine's EU integration process, it said.

As part of his visit, Budrys will also officially inaugurate Ukraine2EU, Ukraine's EU integration support program being implemented by Lithuania and Denmark.
