VILNIUS – Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda expects 2021 to bring more joyful news about the pandemic situation.
Using a musical metaphor, Nauseda said in his New Year's greeting message that he is "confident that next year, we will speak about the pandemic in a major key rather than in a minor one".
The president also believes that the state "will take a big step forward in creating a greener, more innovative and more united Lithuania" in the new year.
"Let us not forget that the state begins from its people. A prosperous country can only be created by free, dignified and self-confident people,” he said.
