TALLINN - Employee and employer organizations in the health care sector have signed a new nationwide collective agreement for 2025-2026.

The agreement ensures stability in labor relations in the health sector, which is a priority in the current era of multiple crises to avoid interruptions in medical care for patients.

The parties agreed on raising minimum hourly wages for doctors, nurses, carers, and other health professionals, along with terms covering working and rest hours, continuing education, and occupational health. In accordance with the Collective Agreements Act, the terms of the agreement will be extended to all health service providers whose operations are funded by the Health Insurance Fund or the state budget.

The parties to the collective agreement recognized the public conciliator, whose assistance helped resolve the labor dispute and reach an agreement.

The document was signed by the Estonian Medical Association, Estonian Union of Health Care Professionals, Estonian Nurses Union, Estonian Union of Clinical Psychologists, Estonian Union of Clinical Speech Therapists, Estonian Hospital Association, and Estonian Ambulance Association.
