RIGA -'s A bomb scare interrupted the work of the Estonian embassy in Riga for severalhours on Nov. 13, the Estonian Foreign Ministry confirmed.
A telephone call about a bomb in the embassy was receivedfrom an unidentified person at noon. The Omega special forcesunit searched the building as a precaution, but no bomb was found and theembassy was declared safe by police.
A criminal investigation is likely to be launched into theincident, police said.
The hoax is estimated to have cost Latvian taxpayers around 500lats (710 euros) in total, according to the police.
