RIGA - Motorcycles in Latvia have a long history 's one of the longest in Europe. And while the rest of the world is drawn to the newest, fastest, shiniest bikes, the biker culture in Latvia has a more historical flavor. As far back as 1886, Alexander Leutner founded Leutner's Cycle Factory in Riga, and his passion fueled that of the Latvian people. An adventurous, intelligent man, Leutner not only owned the first motorcycle factory in Latvia, but also test-rode the world's first motorcycle, the Hildebrand and Wolfmueller.
