Dinamo goalie attacked

RIGA - Dinamo Riga goalie Edgars Masalskis has been hospitalizedafter he was attacked in Riga's OldTown on Monday night.

The hockey player was returning home after meeting the restof the team for dinner when he was attacked by five or six people. He hasreportedly suffered a broken ankle and will not be able to return to play forat least a few months.

Police have obtained a video of the attack, but are notreleasing details about the investigation.
