VILNIUS - Prisoners in Lithuania will now be forced to pay for the power they used, in line with a recently passed amendment to the Code of Execution and Sentences, RT news reported.

Prisoners who cannot pay the rates will lose access to electronic devices, the news agency reported.

Authorities expect to collect up to 450,000 litas (about $190,000) annually.
