VILNIUS - The ruling Conservative Party has nominated Audronius Azubalis to take over the foreign ministery portfolio following last week's resignation of Vygaudas Usackas.
Azubalis, the current head of the Seimas‘ foreign affairs committee, is the lead candidate from the Conservative Party, formally known as Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democrats, which heads the current 4-party coalition.
Usackas, also a member of the Conservative Party, stepped down last week after the president said she had lost confidence in him.
