KALIPEDA -- The Lithuanian seaside town of Klaipeda has banned smoking on its beaches.
The ban will hold from June 1 to September 15. Violators will face a fine.
"We will establish several smoking spots in beaches. They will be situated close to baywatch stations," said Klaipeda municipality representative Irena Sakaliene.
