VILNIUS -- Lithuania has signed a key agreement with the European Space Agency that will give the country a role in research and development at the institution.
"Cooperation with and membership in ESA will allow Lithuania to be engaged in the development and application of state-of-the-art technologies; it will guarantee better development of high technologies in Lithuania and increase national competitiveness,” said economy minister Dainius Kreivys.
“Moreover, the ESA membership will ensure return on investment in R&D and technological development,” he said.
