Latvian scores what could be goal of the season

RIGA - Could the following video be a contender for the world football goal of the season? Some major sports Web sites seem to think so.

The goal of the season awards are usually associated with football giants, including Messi and Ronaldo. Videos online abound with some spectacular finishes in the football world.

But on Sept. 28, Jurijs Zigajevs of FK Ventspils performed a moment of magic to take his team on top of the Latvian Football League. Ventspils went on to beat Spartaks 3-0. Watch the incredible scissor kick here:
