Olympics: Latvian placed 12th in women’s luge

Latvia's Eliza Tiruma placed 12th in women's luge at the Sochi Olympic Games on Tuesday. On aggregate, Tiruma lost 3.303 seconds to the winner, Germany's Natalie Geisenberger.

Of the other Latvians competing yesterday, Ulla Zirne finished in 18th place.

Tatjana Huefner (Germany) placed second and Erin Hamlin (United States) third.
