Gulbis powers through to semi finals in Malaysia World Tour

Latvia's top ranked tennis player Ernests Gulbis has powered through to the semi finals of the Kuala Lumpur World Tour Series after beating Germany's Benjamin Becker 6-3, 7-5 on Friday.

Gulbis, ranked 13th in ATP rankings, will play Julien Bennetaeu of France, ranked 28th. Gulbis earned 90 ATP ranking points for advancing to the tournament's semifinals

Gulbis defeated Germany's Philipp Petzschner 6-3, 6-7, 6-1 in the second round of the Kuala Lumpur tournament earlier this week.
