Lithuania has welcomed 15 orphaned Ukrainian children to the country amid the Ukraine crisis.
The orphans alongside two teachers from war torn Donetsk and Luhansk would be supported for the new school year under new plans, Lithuania's government said on Monday.
The 95,000 euro funds would go towards children‘s education, accommodation, meals, utility bills and other services (health insurance, learning materials, vacations), and other expenses.
The request for help to orphaned children affected by unrest in eastern Ukraine was sent to the Government, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education by the Lithuanian Ambassador to Ukraine, Petras Vaitiekūnas.
