WASHINGTON - NBA club Washington Wizards have signed a one-year contract with Latvian center Anzejs Pasecniks, who is expected to play for the NBA G League club Capital City Go-Go, Sportando portal reports.

Pasecniks and Wizards will sign an Exhibit 10 deal, which means that Pasecniks will be paid the minimum NBA salary and could potentially earn up to USD 50,000 in bonuses. The contract can later be converted to a two-way contract at the team's option.

Pasecniks was drafted by the Orlando Magic with the 25th overall pick in the first round of the 2017 NBA draft. He was immediately traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. This past July 2019, the 76ers renounced their draft right to Pasecniks, who later in July joined the Wizards summer league team.

During the last four seasons, Pasecniks has been playing for the Spanish club Herbalife Gran Canaria. Last year he averaged 5.4 points and 1.8 rebounds in the Liga ACB. In ULEB Euroleague, Pasecniks averaged 7.2 point and 3.6 rebounds last season.
