President to attend Paris Olympics

RIGA - President Edgars Rinkevics will visit Paris from today until July 28, according to his agenda.

Today, the president will participate in the Sport for Sustainable Development Summit.

On Friday, Rinkevics will attend a reception hosted by the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace and the Opening Ceremony of the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games.

During his visit, the president will meet the athletes of the Latvian Olympic team at the Olympic Village and watch the first Olympic Games competitions.
