KYIV - Parliamentary leaders from 17 European countries, as well as representatives of the European Parliament, gathered in Kyiv on Monday to express their support and solidarity with Ukraine.
"The speakers and deputy speakers of the parliaments of Belgium, Britain, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Finland, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Sweden, as well as representatives of the European Parliament, arrived in the capital of Ukraine. This visit is a strong symbol of support, solidarity and trust. I am grateful to my colleagues for their readiness to be with Ukraine," Ruslan Stefanchuk, the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, wrote on Facebook on Monday.
