Storm has damaged roof of Dome cathedral in Riga

RIGA - The storm has damaged the roof of the Riga Dome Cathedral, LETA learned from Riga Vice Mayor Edvards Ratnieks (National Alliance/LRA).

Ratnieks has published a video on social media showing a large section of roof partially detached and wobbling in the strong winds.

Ratnieks informed that the Dome Square has been closed temporarily for public until the dangerous situation is solved.

As reported, rescuers have received about 200 calls in Riga by 8:30 on Monday morning due to the storm and heavy rainfalls.
