The ruling Unity party is in favour of arranging of a new tender for the next general director of the State Revenue Service as it would guarantee transparency during the selection process, stated the party’s chairman Andris Piebalgs.
According to Piebalgs, Inga Kolegova’s decision to take her name out of the running to become the next general director of the State Revenue Service today is a step in the right direction. “A new tender is the best way to select the most appropriate and competent candidate,” he noted.
